These ice shot glasses make the perfect Halloween drink! They’re unique, fun and will definitely impress your friends and party guests. To make the shot glasses, I used the Wilton Shot Glass Mold. You can use it to make almost any type of edible shot glass – ice, candy, Jell-O, cookies, or even Rice Krispie treats.
Since the mold is made out of silicon, before you fill the mold up with water make sure you place it on a baking sheet or other hard surface. Then, I filled each cavity up with water and stuck it in the freezer overnight. After I took my glasses out of the mold, I put them back into the freezer to keep them as frozen as possible. The mold makes 8 glasses, so be sure to plan ahead if you’re making enough glasses for a crowd.
I filled my ice shot glasses with a mix of Midori and pineapple juice. They turned out to be the absolute perfect shade of green for a Halloween drink, they almost looked like they were glowing! To give your drink a different look, you could even experiment by adding food coloring to the water used to make the glasses.
- 2/3 cup Midori Melon
- 1/3 cup pineapple juice
- Fill your Wilton Shot Glass Mold up with water and freeze overnight, or until the water is completely frozen.
- Take your mold out of the freezer and pop the glasses out of the mold by pushing the mold inside out. The silicon makes this process easy, but you'll want to work as quick as possible so the ice doesn't melt. Place the ice glasses back in the freezer until you're ready to serve your drinks.
- Combine the Midori and pineapple juice and stir to mix them together. I mixed them together in a liquid measuring cup with a spout so I could easily pour the mixture into your glasses.
- Take the glasses out to the freezer and pour in your drink. Enjoy quickly before your glass melts!
